BOTANICAL WONDERS - STUDIO MARSHA WICHERS

The 'Botanical Wonders' project is about the beauty of nature and the endless inspiration we can find in it. Nature is resourceful and has the most beautiful colors, structures and shapes and has always fascinated artists. Thanks to our latest technology, we can imagine what the world would look like if the creations of man and nature became intertwined. Visual artist Marsha Wichers lifts a glimpse of this world by crossing her botanical sculptures with the plant world from Leiden's Hortus Botanicus. By using artificial intelligence, she is able to create a species system that exceeds our imagination. She takes the spectator along by inviting them to contribute with input from the Hortus.
