Communication is not limited to human interactions; it is also present everywhere in nature. Animals and plants exchange signals and information, often in ways we cannot see.
Recent research has focused on the hidden communication systems between plants, both above and below ground. Mycelium plays a crucial role in this, because it enables plants to communicate with each other. For example, trees can warn other plants of approaching insect pests via chemical signals spread by mycelium. These plants can then produce and spread protective substances, protecting the entire community.
This fascinating plant communication is simulated in LARCH V1. The challenges and learning moments of plants are shown in different colors and patterns. The algorithm ensures that each simulation is unique, just like the real interactions between plants. Discover new insights, developments and surprises, just like in the real plant world.
