STT works on long-term future studies and investigates the possible influence of technology on various social themes. The end results of the explorations are very diverse: reports, articles, films, games and concepts. During the Night of Discoveries, STT will provide three lectures in which alternative future images are outlined regarding labor, participation and post-growth.

• Discover the future of labor [Anna-Carolina Zuiderduin] - 8:30 PM - 9:00 PM
This STT exploration focuses on the position of work in Dutch society. By thinking about what is possible, new possibilities are explored. Anna-Carolina Zuiderduin does this by considering the question of what desirable futures for labor and technology could be. This allows us to broaden and sharpen our view by not only viewing labor from an economic perspective.

• Discover future scenarios for post-growth [Peter van der Putten] - 9:00 PM - 9:30 PM
In this exploration, post-growth is presented as a range of possibilities. STT outlines several options for a world focused on qualitative growth - where there is still a lot to choose from. From storing data in the DNA of trees, designing new animal species and discovering new possibilities to communicate with plants, animals or micro-organisms; These visions challenge us to look beyond our existing systems.

• Discover the future through participation [Emiel Rijshouwer] - 9:30 PM - 10:00 PM
As a futures researcher, he is driven by making social issues open for discussion and creating a 'common ground'. Through imagination and creativity, possible futures are made tangible for diverse worlds of experience. STT thus stands up for all voices in the debate and facilitates contradiction and dialogue with knowledge partners.
